The Child Outcomes Bulletin 2010 was constructed through a creative collaboration of Child Care
Results, the California Head Start Association, and 15 participating California Head Start programs. This
analysis of child assessment data on 6,600 children was conducted by Child Care Results in the fall of
2009.  The analysis was conducted by Child Care Results alone.  Any errors are solely the responsibility
of Child Care Results.

Be an Advocate for California Head Start Programs.  Deadline to Submit DRDP-R data July 30, 2010.

Thank you to the 15 Head Starts who participated in the 2009-2010 CHSA’s California Child Outcomes
Bulletin.  The bulletin was a great success and provided California Head Starts with an effective
advocacy tool that demonstrated the progress we are making with our children.  To build on the success
of the bulletin, we would like to invite you to join the 2010-2011 CHSA Child Outcomes bulletin.  This
year we’re hoping double the number of participating agencies to 30 California Head Starts -- and we're
already more than half way there!

Please contribute your Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 DRDP-R data to the analysis and be part an advocacy
tool available to all Head Starts in California.  Call us at (800) 493-8621 if you have any questions.

Who is conducting the analysis?
This analysis will be conducted by Child Care Results and reviewed by academic advisors as well as a
committee from the California Head Start Association.  If you are a member of CHSA and would like to
be part of the release or review committee, please contact Paula Carrino at CHSA (916) 444-7760.

What will the final product look like?
The final product will be a 4-page bulletin we intend to share with state and federal legislators and
stake-holders. It will be similar in style to the bulletin released earlier this year -- view it
here.  The data
will be collected in July 2010 and the bulletin will be finalized early Fall 2010. Agencies participating in
the study will receive individualized benchmark results by geographic area, age group, and agency size.
Individual data will be completely confidential. At no time will individual agency results be made public.

How do I sign-up?
All existing or new Child Care Results clients are already included in part of the study.  Non Child Care
Results clients can also join the study if the format of their DRDP-R and child demographic data is
compatible with our formatting - exports from data managements systems like ChildPlus or COPA work
perfectly.
